Weatherly Lectures
The Weatherly Lecture Series is an annual event to which distinguished teachers, preachers and scholars known throughout the country are invited to give a series of lectures, services and seminars. The Series strives to bring the community topics that are relevant to contemporary life and to challenge participants both intellectually and spiritually.
In 2010 Weatherly welcomes Dr. Randall O'Brien back. Dr. O'Brien previously led the Weatherly Lectures in a study of the book of Job in 2004. Since then, Dr. O'Brien has become president of Carson-Newman College, a Baptist college located near Gatlinburg, TN. In 2010, Dr. O'Brien will lead us in a thoughtful discussion on the topic of "forgiveness". He is author of the book, "Set Free by Forgiveness".
