Women on Mission
The Weatherly Women on Mission Group consists of women dedicated to making a positive, Christian, hands-on contribution to our community and contributing to global, Christian missions.
This year, we have collected supplies for a new residence where recovering alcoholic women will be living. We have taken a meal to the staff at the Free Clinic in downtown Huntsville. We will be helping other shelters this spring. Our Spring Rummage Sale is always a great attraction for our community - who doesn't love a bargain! This is our only fundraiser; the money will buy large items when we find a need for them in our community.
Last year, for example, we purchased ceiling fans for our Kentucky Mission Trip where church members build houses for residents of the Appalachian area. Along with the Preschool Committee, we sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt.
