Lincoln Mill Ministries

The Lincoln Mill Ministry works to improve the living conditions of families in the Lincoln Mill Village area of Huntsville. This is done primarily through the purchase and renovation of housing units that are located within the Lincoln Mill neighborhood. These renovations result in a home that is run down and unfit for habitation becoming a thoroughly modern, safe home for families. Weatherly is one of the many partners in this ministry which is primarily supported by Southwood Presbyterian Church. As a church, we have funded and renovated 5 units to date and continue to provide volunteers for the project.

Alongside the renovation of homes are the volunteers that fill the Lincoln Elementary School. Our church provides tutors and homeroom moms for many of the students and classes of the school. Beyond the school facility, many of these volunteers take a personal interest in the children and offer nurturing friendships to the students and their families.
